UPDATED 1ST MARCH 2011
Updated September 23 2010. We have just held our AGM and have decided on holding our show in March 2011. We are endeavouring to secure Waikanae Park as the venue. We have now secured the 6th March to be the day of the show, and are looking at the following week also if it is bad weather on the day. Some of the classes we will be holing are Best paced and mannered, Best turned out, Best rider etc., Games and Jumping. If you have any enquiries regarding the show or are able to help us out on the day of the show, please contact our Society Next season we will be holding the “Kaimanawa Breed Show” It will be in the greater Wellington area, more than likely Waikanae Park which we have used before. It’s a great venue as it is nice and roomy. Your Kaimanawa should be neatly turned out. Plaiting is the acceptable method, although those that don't plait will not be turned away. We have yet to arrange what type of classes we will have, but will probably be similar to what we have had in the past. That is where you come in. We would like to hear from anyone who has any particular classes in mind. Would you like a dressage class? These are quite hard to set up and to get judges for, so we would like to know if we would get the numbers. Adults are welcome to enter the classes and a points system will be used if riding against children. Only registered Kaimanawa’s will be able to enter. We do accept horses registered with the KWHT and the KWHPS. But forms will be available on the day if you want to register with us. We would really love to hear from you with your ideas. Please email khbsi@paradise.net.nz. All comments and ideas will be taken into consideration.
